BE Group unveils uptown showsuite
THE BE Group of Companies unveiled BE Uptown Showsuite on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Mabuhay Tower in Cebu Business Park, Cebu City, showcasing its bold entry into the luxury real estate segment through BE Uptown Park.
Dubbed “The City’s Next Eco‑Icon,” BE Uptown Park is the company’s first mixed‑use development, integrating residential living, retail, and hospitality. The 25‑story tower will rise along Juana Osmeña Street in Capitol Site, featuring green spaces and three floors of retail outlets. The project sits on a 3,046-square-meter lot.
The newly launched showsuite features a full‑scale replica of the tower’s residential offerings: studio and one‑bedroom units, patio suites, and a penthouse sky villa.
“This project is very close to our hearts because of our deep personal connection to the land,” said Grand Benedicto, chief executive officer of The BE Group of Companies. He described BE Uptown Park as the firm’s first foray into the luxury home market.
In previous interviews, Benedicto noted the group’s intention to carve out a space in Cebu’s high-end property segment.
“They are already here (national developers) and as a local developer, we want to get a piece of this high-end market. This is a market that is in demand now,” he said.
Nova Noval, the company’s chief operations officer, meanwhile, thanked the team behind the project, saying the group poured “love, soul and spirit” into the development. “In as much as we give our all to every project, in this one—we’re giving everything,” she said.
She acknowledged the team’s efforts, noting, “We were hard on them at times, but only because we wanted to bring out their best.”
Valued at approximately P4.5 billion, BE Uptown Park is the group’s most ambitious and luxurious project to date. It will also feature AC Hotels by Marriott—the first of the brand in the Visayas and Mindanao—marking the company’s inaugural partnership with an international hotel chain.
Construction of the BE Uptown Park began in March 2025 and is expected to be completed in the first half of 2030./ Necolyn Claire Balansag, CNU Intern with KOC
