CEBU-BASED property developer BE Group has commenced construction on its first mixed-use development, BE Uptown Park, which integrates real estate and hospitality.

Located on a 3,000-square-meter property along Juana Osmeña Street in Capitol Site, Cebu City, this upscale project has an estimated value of P4.5 billion and is the company’s boldest and most luxurious development to date. It also marks BE Group’s first project with a dedicated focus on sustainability.

“A legacy begins. Laying the foundation for tomorrow’s landmark,” Grand Benedicto, the group’s chief executive officer, posted on his Facebook account on Saturday, March 15, 2025.

BE Uptown Park is a mixed-use development featuring a 25-story upscale residential tower and a 20-story hotel tower, both seamlessly connected by a lifestyle commercial mall. Together, these towers will offer 400 units, including three luxurious sky villas, patio suites and a selection of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units.

The development will also house AC Hotels by Marriott, the first AC Hotels property in the Visayas and Mindanao region. This marks BE Group’s first partnership with an international hotel chain.

BE Uptown Park is expected to be completed in the first half of 2030.

BE Group is among the local developers aiming to capture a significant share of Cebu’s luxury market.

“They are already here (national developers) and as a local developer, we want to get a piece of this high-end market. This is a market that is in demand now,” said Benedicto, in past interviews.

Moreover, true to its commitment to sustainability, BE Uptown Park will integrate green initiatives throughout its design.

The company said thoughtfully landscaped green spaces and an eco-friendly infrastructure position the development as an urban sanctuary amid Cebu’s bustling center.

The design incorporates native flora, energy-efficient systems and rainwater harvesting mechanisms, which reflect BE’s pledge to be a responsible developer. / KOC
