A FLOWER shop owner was arrested and P20.4 million worth of suspected shabu was confiscated in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Cansojong, Talisay City on Saturday, July 5, 2025.
The suspect, a 36-year-old businesswoman identified only by the alias “Ann,” was apprehended by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 7, the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group and Naval Forces Central.
Authorities seized three packs of suspected shabu weighing about three kilos, buy-bust money, two smartphones, several identification and ATM cards and transaction notes.
The confiscated drugs were submitted to the PDEA 7 laboratory for chemical analysis and proper disposition.
The suspect is detained at a local PDEA station pending the filing of charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. / PNA
