ORGANIZERS of the annual Cebu Business Month (CBM) 2022 has outlined several business activities for six months starting June to make known that Cebu is back to business, stronger than before.

Anchored on the theme, “Go Cebu!” with the tagline “Realign, Reinforce, Rebuild,” this year’s CBM 2022 envisions to help make businesses strong so it could create jobs and make a stronger local economy.

“As we are all witnessing a transition into a post-pandemic society, we are inviting you to further Cebu’s business stronghold. Enclosed in our CBM 2022 calendar of events that would entice the public to be more proactive in our clamor for collectively accelerating progress,” said Brigitte Carmel Lim, CBM 2022 overall chairperson.

Lim said the CBM 2022 team which was formed early in February this year decided to make “Go Cebu” as its theme as it connotes simplicity and power. It also sends a strong message of a resilient island amid the challenges brought about by the pandemic.

Collaborating with fellow changemakers in a hybrid approach, the CBM will gather stakeholders in the areas of tourism, information and communications technology- business process management, entrepreneurship and creative industry to showcase informative and engaging programs as well as provide opportunities and draw strength from each industry.

Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Charles Kenneth Co said the theme sits well with the chamber’s vision to become Cebu’s engine of growth despite the local and global crises.

“Amid the uncertainties and unknowns I continue to see an unbelievable commitment and resiliency of industry players, rising above and claiming victory in these challenging times,” Co said.

“This year we will deliver meaningful activities that will contribute to the competitive advantage of Cebu,” he added.
