THE recognition of Grand Kapatid Award was conferred to SMB Mandaue Brewery by the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (Ecop) topping 44 other corporate aspirants.

SMB was acknowledged for their strength in industrial relations, and keeping in stride with the changing business environment.

Other winners were SM Supermalls, who was given recognition for Business Continuity and Sustainability; Del Monte Philippines Inc. who was recognized for Innovation and Just Transition; Philippine Gold Processing and Refining Corporation for Responsible & Ethical Business Conduct and Coca Cola Europacific Partners Philippines for Industrial Peace.

Of the 44 entrants, there were 11 finalists who were proclaimed in the first day of the conference.

All were acknowledged for their good practices in keeping industrial harmony and inspiring both employers and employees in their business practices.

Among the finalists were: Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Philippines, Del Monte Philippines, Inc., Perpetual Prime Manufacturing, Inc., Philippine Gold Processing & Refining Corporation, Philippine Manufacturing Co. of Murata, Inc., Platinum Group Metals Corporation, San Miguel Brewery Inc. – Mandaue Brewery, Shopping Center Management Corporation SM Supermalls, STMicroelectronics, Inc., Universidad de Zamboanga and University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao.

This recognition is granted every two years to outstanding employers who continue to grow both their business and their people.

Each participating company went through a thorough evaluation process including detailed document reviews and in-depth interviews.

From the 44 entries, 16 advanced to the Executive Committee screening and from which the 11 finalists were chosen. (Press Release)
