THE Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) welcomed 25 new members during its Business Connect and Induction of New Members on Monday, Aug. 7, 2023, at the Oakridge Horizon, Mandaue City.
Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes led the induction ceremony together with MCCI President Kelie Ko and other officials.
Cortes in his speech acknowledged the importance of the chamber as a partner of the City Government in bringing investments and development to the City.
He urged the officials and members of the MCCI to continue supporting the City Government.
“For the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry, again you have my huge gratitude for doing your part in transforming Mandaue City,” Cortes said.

Aside from the induction ceremony, a networking event was conducted that allowed MCCI members who were business owners, executives and representatives to connect with fellow businessmen and entrepreneurs to open up partnerships and discussions on business solutions together.
Ko described the networking event as a win-win situation for its members as this was the first time that the chamber had held the event coming at the request of the members themselves.
He added that in the past events of the chamber, the members lacked the confidence to network with their fellow members, hence, the networking event opened up various opportunities for MCCI members to find potential partners and suppliers within the chamber.
The event was part of the MCCI’s celebration of the Mandaue Business Months 2023 with the theme “Empowering Business for the New Era.”
MBM 2023 will again parade its flagship program, the Business Summit, on Aug. 23 at Marco Polo Plaza, Cebu and Business Seminar on Aug. 24 at the City Sports Club Cebu.
