Nokia unveils new generation phones

NOKIA introduced two new phones at the SM City Cebu yesterday.

The new generation phones are the Nokia 2.1 and the Nokia 3.1, which deliver “a premium and sophisticated aluminum design.”

Nokia 2.1 features a 4,000mAh battery, which gives the phone a two-day battery life span and a powerful performance on a bigger screen for both work and mobile gaming. This new generation charges faster than its predecessor.

The 5.5-inch high definition screen phone is bigger than its predecessor and allows the user to share the entertainment with friends. The phone also comes with a dual speaker that provides stereo sound.

As for the Nokia 3.1, it will receive three years of monthly security patches and two years of operating system updates guaranteed in the Android One program.

The monthly update of security patches makes the Nokia 3.1 among the most-secured phones in the market. Nokia 3’s new generation will always be up-to-date with the latest Google services such as Google Assistant and Google Photos with free unlimited high-quality storage of photos.

Shannon Mead, HMD Global Philippines manager, said that both phones could be availed of at zero percent interest for a six-month installment period.

Mead added that they are targeting college graduates and those who are starting to have an income and want an high-end device with an affordable price.

“At HMD Global, innovation means merging premium quality with affordability and accessibility. The Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 2.1 are just two of the breakthroughs we are proud to bring to Cebu. The two Nokia Android smartphones are built with the design and technology to keep up with the Cebuanos’ productive lifestyle,” said Mead.
