CEBU Gov. Pamela Baricuatro has revived the Provincial Youth Commission (PYC) through an executive order, with six commissioners representing sectors such as out-of-school youth, working youth and persons with disabilities.
The commission, first formed under former governor Hilario Davide III but dormant during Gwendolyn Garcia’s term, will recommend youth policies and legislation.
“We get it straight from the youth, what they need,” Baricuatro said on Friday, Aug. 8, 2025, in Poro, Camotes Islands.
Sangguniang Kabataan Provincial Federation President and Provincial Board Member Loren Singco is a member. By law, the governor chairs the PYC, with the vice governor as vice chair. / CDF
