The Cebu Police Provincial Office (CPPO) and Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LCPO) were recognized as among the top-performing police units in Central Visayas for July 2026 by the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO 7).
The recognition was part of PRO 7’s monthly Best Performing Units program.
The Talisay City Police Station was also recognized as the Best Component City Police Station.
The Consolacion Police Station was named Best Municipal Police Station–Class A, while the San Fernando Police Station and San Francisco Police Station were recognized as the Best Police Station–Class B and Class C, respectively.
The Waterfront Police Station of the Cebu City Police Office was named the Best City Police Station.
The recognition, led by Brig. Gen. Arnold Abad, aims to acknowledge outstanding performance, boost personnel morale, and strengthen police welfare in support of the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) 5-Focused Agenda under PNP Chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.
The units were assessed based on established performance parameters, including operational accomplishments, crime prevention and solution efforts, mandated tasks, and other initiatives demonstrating effectiveness, efficiency, and responsiveness in delivering police services.
PRO 7 said the monthly recognition reflects its commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, accountability and continuous improvement among its units and personnel.
Abad praised the recognized units for their dedication, professionalism and continued commitment to their duties.
He said every operational accomplishment is driven by police officers who dedicate their time and efforts to keeping communities safe and serving the public.
“This recognition is more than an award. It is our way of telling our personnel that their hard work, dedication and sacrifices are seen and appreciated. We want them to know that their performance matters because every accomplishment contributes to the safety and well-being of the communities we serve,” Abad said.
The PRO 7 director added that the recognition would have a positive impact on personnel morale, leading to improved performance.
Abad encouraged police personnel to continue their good work, promote healthy competition and strengthen a results-oriented culture across PRO 7. / AYB
