Cebu Pacific soars to P8.5B net income in 2nd quarter

Cebu Pacific reported a net income of P8.5 billion in the second quarter of 2025, driven by a 16 percent jump in passenger traffic, improved operational efficiency and disciplined cost management.

The airline flew seven million passengers during the quarter, with domestic traffic up 14 percent and international passengers rising 23 percent, boosted by Easter holiday travel.

This lifted the Seat Load Factor to 85.9 percent and pushed passenger revenue up 29 percent to P23.1 billion.

Ancillary revenue rose 16 percent to P8 billion, while cargo revenue surged 32 percent to P1.8 billion.

Operating income more than doubled to P6 billion. For the first half of 2025, Cebu Pacific posted a net income of P9 billion, up 153 percent year-on-year.

Total revenue climbed 23 percent to P63.3 billion as the airline flew 14 million passengers and expanded flight capacity through a 22 percent increase in Available Seat Kilometers./ KOC
