CEBUANA Lhuillier Insurance Brokers Inc. (CLIB) has launched Mindcare, a mental health-focused microinsurance product offering unlimited teleconsultations and financial protection for Filipinos, as part of its push to address rising mental health concerns in the country.
Priced at P1,999 annually, Cebuana Lhuillier Mindcare includes 24/7 online mental health support, accident and hospitalization coverage of up to P20,000, and death benefits of up to P100,000.
he plan is open to individuals aged six months to 65 years and is available nationwide through over 3,500 branches and Lazada.
“Mental health is just as vital as physical health,” said president and chief executive officer Jean Henri Lhuillier. “Mindcare is a holistic solution that combines emotional wellness and insurance coverage to support Filipinos before issues escalate.”
The initiative responds to the Department of Health’s estimate that 3.6 million Filipinos suffer from mental health challenges, many of whom face barriers such as stigma, high costs and limited access. / KOC
