Cebuanos know a thing or two about the beach and coastal life. With beautiful beaches and pristine sands scattered across the island, Cebu has long cemented itself as the spot for island adventures. But more than that, the waters surrounding this southern province have long served as an enchanting muse, drawing in artists and residents alike for centuries.
Internationally acclaimed haute couture designer Furne Amato sought to reimagine the ocean’s beauty through the brand’s newest collection during the fashion show titled “Take Me to the Sea” on May 10, 2025, at Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan.
The Dubai-based designer presented a plethora of all-white ensembles, each varying in textile and pattern, executed with meticulous precision — a trademark of the Furne Amato brand. A fusion of avant-garde and ready-to-wear elements, the pieces showcased a flair for the extraordinary, with subtlety at the helm of Furne’s distinctive creative prowess.
Furne wasted no time in immersing guests in the creative vision by bringing the beach to the runway. Reminiscent of a wild beachfront — with weeds growing haphazardly and white picket fences swaying in opposite directions — Furne told a story about imperfections. Then the show began. Albeit brief, the models glided in with the grace of ocean waves gently washing ashore.
