Cebu-based pop rock band Coloura has released “2016,” the final single ahead of its self-titled debut album set for release on Aug. 22, 2025. The emotionally driven track is now streaming on all major digital platforms. “2016” explores how an unexpected encounter can grow into something overwhelming and transformative. According to the band, the song took many forms before reaching its final version, describing it as “a raw, emotional reflection on love, longing and surrendering to something bigger than you.”

The new single follows a string of recent releases that marked Coloura’s return after a yearlong hiatus. The previous tracks — “At 25, somebody told me that I looked like a young Pete Wentz,” “Only Connection” and “GF” — reintroduced the band’s evolving sound. “Only Connection” has since surpassed 15,000 streams on Spotify, gaining attention from both fans and local music media.

A music video for “2016” is currently in production, with a premiere date to be announced in the coming weeks.

The single was produced by Jake Russell Relacion and Robert Michael Lim, mixed by Relacion and mastered by Luigi Miguel Balazo and Nevermnd Studios. Cover art was created by Alden John Panes, who has been instrumental in shaping the band’s visual identity since its early days.

Coloura’s debut album will include all four singles along with nine new tracks, totaling 13 songs. Fans can now pre-save or pre-order the album ahead of its Aug. 22 release.

“2016” is available now on all streaming platforms. / PR
