NATIONAL team head coach Tim Cone expresses his excitement on Quentin Millora-Brown (QMB) possibly playing for Gilas Pilpinas, alongside fellow young frontliners Kai Sotto and AJ Edu.

“We have a guy to slot in right there. As much as we have this program that we put together, this team that we put together, we have not had Kai and AJ on the team at the same time in practice,” said Cone.

“And now, we get the opportunity to have that happen in the near future. Then, you add QMB to that. That’s something that we can really work off. I’m excited about it.”

The mentor said QMB has the potential to be a game-changer for the program, similar to how Kevin Quiambao played a pivotal role during the Philippines’ recent FIBA Asia Cup 2025 stint in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Millora-Brown’s eligibility also got a major boost after the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas confirmed FIBA had reclassified him as a local player, following a successful appeal of his earlier tag as a naturalized prospect. / RSC
