PHILCONSTRUCT Visayas 2025, one of the country’s largest regional construction trade shows, officially launched its 14th edition on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, with a renewed focus on innovation, inclusion and industry upskilling, event organizers said.
The show, set to take place from June 19 to 21, 2025, at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, will occupy 6,000 square meters of exhibition space and feature over 300 top-tier local and international brands.
Organizers expect more than 7,000 professionals from the construction and design sectors to attend.
The annual event is organized by the Philippine Constructors Association (PCA), in partnership with the Cebu Contractors Association (CCA) and managed by Philconstruct Events, Exhibitions and Conference Corp. (PEECC).
“We are building not just structures, but a stronger, more resilient industry. Through the PCA’s Industry 2030 Roadmap, sustainability programs and regional collaborations like this, we ensure growth happens from the ground up—and that means here in Cebu and across the Visayas,” said PCA president Jerry Pancho during the press conference.
CCA vice president for Internal Affairs Kevin Lim underscored the city’s role in the national construction landscape.
“We are proud of the builders and talent coming from the Visayas. Philconstruct is not just an exhibit—it’s a celebration of Filipino quality and craftsmanship,” he said.
The event will also feature Technoforum, a series of industry-focused learning sessions on topics such as green construction, artificial intelligence applications and digital transformation.
“We want every participant to walk away not just with products—but with ideas and tools that shape how we build tomorrow,” said PEECC director Ronaldo Elepano.
Philconstruct 2025 Series chairman Ruben Cueto said the event plays a critical role in bringing opportunities to regional markets across Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao and Metro Manila.
“By bringing Philconstruct to the regions, we create access to opportunity. Events like this energize local ecosystems and give voice to the builders beyond Metro Manila,” he said.
He also pointed to professional development sessions, including a seminar on construction contracts, as key features of this year’s program.
Cebu’s growing role in the construction sector
Event chairman Bernard Vonn Sia highlighted the transformation of Philconstruct Visayas from a niche initiative into a flagship regional event.
“From a small initiative to a major regional showcase—Philconstruct Visayas has matured. This year, we’ve introduced smarter features, new technologies and stronger collaborations with organizations like UAP, Pice, Piid and Acel. We’re no longer just keeping up—we’re helping set the standard,” Sia said.
One of the event’s main highlights is the CEO Forum, themed “Strategies on Business Growth,” which will feature insights from Edgar Saavedra, chief executive officer of Megawide and Ricardo Lagdameo, president of Damosa Land.
“These are not just business talks. These are strategic roadmaps for local leaders looking to thrive, not just survive,” said Forum chairman Zaldy Casinillo.
“This is a conversation about people—about how upskilling, diversity, and sustainability are no longer optional. They’re essential to building future-proof businesses,” added co-chair Tracy Liu.
The event is open to industry professionals, policymakers, students and members of the public, with free registration available online. / KOC
