FIBER broadband and technology provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. reported solid double-digit gains in the first half of 2025, with consolidated revenues rising 11.6 percent year-on-year to P21.8 billion and net income up 12.4 percent to P5.9 billion, driven by sustained demand for its residential and enterprise broadband services.
Residential revenues grew 10.4 percent to P18.4 billion, while enterprise revenues surged 18.3 percent to P3.4 billion.
Net residential fiber additions exceeded 260,000 in the first six months, bringing Converge’s total subscribers to 2.8 million.
However, during an Aug. 13, 2025, online briefing, the company revised its 2025 revenue growth target to 10–12 percent from the earlier 14–16 percent projection.
Converge president and co-founder Dennis Anthony Uy attributed the adjustment partly to manpower shortages affecting service response times, noting that skilled fiber personnel remain in high demand both locally
and abroad.
Despite these challenges, Converge marked key milestones, including securing full Tier III certification for its Caloocan Data Center from the New York-based Uptime Institute — the first and only Philippine data center to achieve this recognition.
The company also strengthened its global connectivity capabilities with the recent landing of the trans-Pacific Bifrost Cable System in Davao, positioning it to serve wholesale customers with faster, more resilient, high-capacity international communications. / KOC
