THE Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp. (PDIC) has reminded creditors of the closed Community Rural Bank of Medellin (Cebu) Inc. that they have one week to file their claims against the bank’s assets.
In a recent advisory, PDIC reiterated the filing deadline on Feb. 3, 2025. Claims submitted after this date will be disallowed.
Creditors include individuals or entities with valid claims, including depositors with uninsured deposits exceeding the P500,000 maximum deposit insurance coverage.
Claims may be filed through email at medellin-pad@pdic.gov.ph or through mail at PDIC Public Assistance Department, Ground Floor, PDIC Chino Bldg., 2228 Chino Roces Ave., Makati City, with a postmark dated no later than Feb. 3, 2025 and through in person at the PDIC Public Assistance Center, same address, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Appointments can be arranged via the hotline (02) 8841-4141 or 1-800-1-888-PDIC, or through PDIC’s official Facebook page.
The prescribed claim form can be downloaded from the PDIC website. Creditors are advised to transact only with authorized PDIC personnel.
