

CEBU’s Zackary Angelo Da Silva and Christy Ann Perez ruled the 13-15 age group category of the 2025 RLC Ironkids Philippines on Saturday morning, Aug. 9, 2025, at the Dusit Thani, Mactan Cebu in Lapu-Lapu City.
Da Silva crossed the finish line in 10 minutes and 24 seconds to win the 13-15 boys’ division, while Perez finished in 11:36 in the girls’ side.
A young stalwart of Talisay Luigi Triathlon Group (TLTG)-Go For Gold, Da Silva clocked in 2:38 in the swim leg and dashed to the finish with a 6:52 in the run part.
Da Silva was also champion in April 2024 Ironkids Lapu-Lapu race with a time of 27:24.
Meanwhile, Perez completed the swim portion in 3:54.88 and finished the run part in 7:38.99 en route to claiming a back-to-back win in the same race, following her triumph in the 2024 edition held in The Reef Island Resort in Mactan, Cebu.
Joining Da Silva in the Top 5 were Joseph Lah Calustre (10:34), Al Dustin Bersabal (10:59) Seanne Pattrick Pagay (11:05) and Christian Terence Betic (11:44).
Completing the girls Top 5 were Lauren Lee Tan (11:37), Kaia Chrostiana Gica (12:11), Mary Chris Lalimos (13:07) and Zoryalena Uphill (13:22).
Princess Galura of Sunrise Events Inc. said that Ironkids attracted about 600 participants, more than double the 247 participants from 2024.
IronKids Philippines is the local version of the global IronKids program, which is part of the world-renowned Ironman triathlon brand.
The Philippine edition began in 2012, aiming to develop young athletes through early exposure to multisport disciplines.
The program is open to children aged six to 15. / DPC
