IT’LL be a clash of two promising prospects as Angilou Dalogdog takes on Albert Francisco for the vacant Philippine Games and Amusements Board (GAB) flyweight title on Sunday, July 27, 2025, in the latest edition of Manny Pacquiao’s “Blow by Blow” at the Barangay Namayan covered court in Mandaluyong City.
Dalogdog, who fights out of the PMI Bohol Boxing Gym in Tagbilaran City, is currently one of the brightest young fighters in the country. He turned pro in 2021 and immediately made an impact in just four years.
Dalogdog, also called “Pinoy Ali” for his technical and slick boxing style, has beaten the likes of former world title challenger Vergilio Silvano, Dennis Endar and Chinese boxer Longyi Hu, who just recently defeated one-time world title contender Dave Apolinario.
The 28-year-old Dalogdog last fought on Nov. 30, 2024, in Bohol and demolished veteran Francis Jay Diaz in five rounds.
On the other hand, Francisco is coming off the biggest win of his career. He scored a fourth-round technical knockout of two-time world title challenger Robert Paradero in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.
The 25-year-old Francisco, a Zamboanga City native, has also beaten the likes of Endar and Mark Antonio. His only career defeat was at the hands of world-rated Mark Vicelles, who defeated him by unanimous decision in Cebu City last year.
Dalogdog is 10-0 with four knockouts, while Francisco is 13-1 with nine knockouts. / EKA
