DAWSON’S Creek star James Van Der Beek has passed away after several years of battling colorectal cancer.
He died on Feb. 11, 2026, at the age of 48.
Van Der Beek was diagnosed with colorectal (bowel) cancer in 2023 but only made the diagnosis public in November 2024.
The American actor is survived by his wife, Kimberly Brook, and their six children. He rose to fame in his title role in the WB series Dawson’s Creek, which aired from 1998 to 2003. / TRC
