THE Golden Dragons (Batch 2012) frustrated 2KCares.Org (2000), 67-58, while Subtero (2006) narrowly defeated 2K Core Pacific, 73-71, at the start of the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association Season 28 on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the Magis Eagles Arena in Mandaue City.
The Golden Dragons relied on the offensive prowess of Lorenzo Carampatan, who finished with 19 points, six rebounds, three steals, and one assist, providing his team a strong boost.
Another key contributor to the victory was Matthew Jefferson Chua who had a double-double performance of 11 points and 10 rebounds. Andre Pacheco added 15 points.
Hansel Uy banged in 11 markers, 11 rebounds and two steals for 2KCares. Albert Chua and Jose Uy added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Meanwhile, Mikey Cabahug exploded with 26 points and 10 rebounds to lead Subtero to a hard-fought win against 2K Core Pacific.
