Drug suspect nabbed in Mambaling

A suspected drug pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24, in Sitio Ibabao, Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City.

The operatives of Drug Enforcement Unit of Mambaling Police Station 11 under the direction of station commander Police Major Jonathan Bethooven Taneo conducted the anti-illegal drug operation that resulted in the arrest of the suspect, Mark Rodulf Torrefranca alias Dopong, 27, a resident of Sitio Lantawan, Barangay Quiot, Cebu City.

Seized from Torrefranca were seven small packs and two medium packs of suspected shabu with a street value of P69,360, P200 in buy-bust money and a .45 pistol with three live rounds.

The raid was carried by the Mambaling police after confirming reports that Torrefranca was selling drugs.

Charges for violating Republic Act 9165, often known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be brought against the suspect.

The suspect will be facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (DVG, TPT)
