THE Rain or Shine (ROS) Elasto Painters continue to keep their eyes on the bigger picture despite a painful blow ahead of their Philippine Basketball Association Philippine Cup matchup against Terrafirma on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the PhilSports Arena.

The Elasto Painters are aiming for a back-to-back win to improve to 6-3 and strengthen their bid for a top-four finish in the eliminations, which would grant them a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals.

But the campaign took another hit with the loss of promising guard Felix Lemetti, who is now out for the season due to a hand fracture — the latest in a string of injuries that have also sidelined veteran Beau Belga (vertigo).

“Maganda inilalaro niya, kahit sa practice, tapos na-fracture pa kamay. At least six weeks out kaya out for the season na siya,” said ROS head coach Yeng Guiao, lamenting Lemetti’s untimely exit.

Lemetti’s presence would have been useful against a Terrafirma squad that, though sitting at the bottom of the standings at 1-8 and eliminated from playoff contention, remains capable of pulling off surprises.

After facing the Dyip, Rain or Shine braces for a tough final stretch with games against powerhouse San Miguel on Saturday, June 7, and Barangay Ginebra on June 15. / RSC
