Even coming in as the favorite in the match, the 21-year-old Eala is leaving no stone unturned in the match as the No. 70 McNally came from a morale-boosting victory against reigning Wimbledon champion Linda Nosková, 7-6(5), 6-1.
Eala, fresh from her first WTA 500 title in Washington, earlier thanked the Filipino fans for flocking in the stadium and making her feel playing at home.
According to the organizers, the tickets at Sobeys Stadium that featured the match of Eala got sold out fast after the announcement of game schedule.
