Costanilla: Good job, Tony Galon!

ANNIVERSARY. On Sunday, July 15, the Sugboanong Musikero Inc. (SMI) marks its 1st founding anniversary with a day-long beach party. I would like to congratulate its officers for ensuring the sustainability and strength of the club despite the number of issues and controversies it has faced. SMI lead founder Margarito Ornopia Jr. has been elected barangay captain of Goyong, Borbon, but I know he can very well manage his time in leading both SMI and his barangay.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS. SMI should come up with a list of accomplishments for the past year of its existence. This would inform its members of the specific projects that Ornopia and his co-officers have done to uplift the Cebuano music industry. At any rate, I am praying for SMI’s sustainability in the years to come. Cheers!

COMMENDABLE. This biker named Tony Galon should be commended for doing a very worthy deed--picking up trash while biking. He must be the only Cebuano to do such laudable act which to me should be emulated by other well-meaning individuals.

SUGGESTION. I am writing on Galon’s wonderful personal cause on keeping the surroundings clean if only to encourage the rest of us to copy his act. And if I may suggest, there will have to be clubs or groups that shall expand Galon’s cause all around the city or province. The ultimate goal is to simply push everyone to pick up trash thrown anywhere.
