Our spiritual adviser, Fr. Raul Buhay, OAR, recently celebrated his birthday surrounded by his family and friends from the Recoletos community.
Fr. Raul has played a meaningful role in my life. I turned to him for spiritual guidance during the final moments of my husband, Sonny Espina — a time when his counsel brought comfort and strength.
I remain grateful to him as well for recommending me to serve as Hermana General, the highest religious title conferred upon a layperson within the Recoletos OAR community. I was formally given the title on Nov. 28, 2011, by Rev. Fr. Jose Maria Sanchez and Rev. Fr. Miguel Miró Miró, OAR.
Fr. Buhay has also been instrumental in various outreach initiatives and interschool programs, consistently working to bring relevance and impact to these efforts.
