The 2025 edition of the history book of the University of San Jose–Recoletos (USJ-R) is now being developed by a committee chaired by Spain-based Fr. Rene Paglinawan. The members include Dr. Milagros C. Espina, former dean of the USJ-R College of Graduate School and Arts and Sciences; the Recoletos Hermana General, who currently serves as consultant of the USJ-R Public Relations Office and the Cultural and Community Affairs of the President’s Office; former secretary to the president and Hermana General Brenda Saliendra; and former PR officer Leroy Gerald Sarchez, who served in the USJ-R PRO and alumni offices under various university presidents.
There have been previous publications about the Recoletos and USJ-R, but this new edition aims to be more updated and comprehensive.

The traditional lighting of the large and colorful Lhuillier Christmas Tree at Fuente Osmeña was led by Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival and Consul Michel Lhuillier. Spectators from all walks of life attended the celebration.
