Best of Cebu 2023: Selections (Nomination Rules and Regulations)

1. Eligibility to Nominate:

Anyone with access to social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or TikTok) is eligible to participate in the nomination process for Best of Cebu 2023.

2. Nomination Period:

Nominations will be accepted during the official nomination period, which will be clearly stated in our announcements. Nominations made outside this period will not be considered.

3. Nominating Brands:

Participants can nominate their favorite brands for specific categories that are officially announced by Best of Cebu 2023. Each nomination should include:

• The full name of the brand.

• Photo of the product and/or establishment.

• The specific category they are nominating the brand for with the corresponding hashtag. E.g. #BestofCebu23ArtGallery

• A brief and respectful reason for the nomination, highlighting why the brand deserves recognition.

• The post must be set to ‘Public.’

4. Eligibility for Nominations:

To be eligible for the nomination of “ Best of Cebu 2023,” participants must meet the following criteria:

• The brand/establishment must be in Cebu Province and/or present in Cebu Province.

• The brand/establishment must be presently active and/or functioning.

• The brand/establishment must be reachable for blind tasting and service testing.

5. Multiple Nominations:

Participants are welcome to make multiple nominations across different categories, but they should refrain from nominating the same brand for the same category more than once.

6. Respectful Nominations:

Nominations should be positive, respectful, and free from derogatory remarks or content. Any nominations deemed disrespectful or inappropriate by the committee will be disqualified.

7. Relevance of Nominations:

Nominations must align with the category for which the brand is being nominated. Ensure that the nomination is relevant to the chosen category.

8. Self-Nominations:

Brands are allowed to self-nominate, provided they meet the eligibility criteria for the category they are entering.

9. Transparency and Fair Play:

The Best of Cebu Committee will monitor nominations to ensure fairness and transparency. Any attempt to manipulate the nomination process or engage in fraudulent activity will result in disqualification.

10. Modification and Withdrawal:

Participants may edit or withdraw their nominations during the nomination period. After the nomination period ends, no changes or withdrawals will be permitted.

11. Committee's Decision:

The decision of the Best of Cebu Committee in selecting the official entries based on nominations is final and non-negotiable.

12. Privacy and Data Use:

By participating in the nomination process, participants consent to the use of their submitted content (brand nominations and reasons) for promotional and informational purposes by Best of Cebu 2023.

13. Compliance:

All participants must comply with the rules and regulations of the social media platforms they use for nominations.
