For ARTHALAND, sustainability has always extended beyond green buildings. It’s about nurturing communities, celebrating culture, and shaping a more thoughtful future. This belief takes center stage through SINATI, a thesis design exhibit that will run from May 30 to June 01, 2025 at Cebu Exchange.
Presented in collaboration with the University of the Philippines Cebu, SINATI showcases the work of graduating students from UP Cebu’s Product Design Program. While the exhibit includes artistic elements, it is firmly rooted in research and user-centered design, reflecting thoughtful inquiry into material culture, function, and meaning.
Cebu Exchange, a PEZA-accredited I.T. Center, is on track to be the country’s largest Net Zero Carbon certified building. This premier office complex, strategically nestled in the heart of Cebu City’s bustling business district, boasts a competitive CUSA Fee, LEED Gold certification, and a BERDE 5-Star rating. It offers cutting-edge facilities like efficient elevators, backup generators, and fiber-optic telecommunications, ensuring a seamless and efficient workspace. Its prime location provides access to a vibrant business community, networking opportunities, and a pool of talented professionals.
Far from a traditional gallery, SINATI is a conversation. The exhibit addresses issues ranging from sustainability and mental well-being to community identity and local innovation – inviting anyone to not just see design, but also to experience it. SINATI invites the public to engage with design not just as an aesthetic, but as an intervention, shaped by empathy, insight, and intention.
The exhibition also aligns with ARTHALAND’s broader advocacy as it prepares its 2024 Sustainability Report. This year’s focus expands the narrative: sustainability is not only about technical achievement or certifications but also about fostering collaboration with our immediate communities.
As ARTHALAND continues to champion sustainability in the built environment, initiatives like SINATI highlight the importance of dialogue and cultural engagement. They reaffirm the company’s belief that true progress happens not in isolation, but through collaboration—when advocacy meets design, and buildings become spaces for conversation and change. (PR)
