CEBUANA Lhuillier has secured three major accolades at the 2025 Asia-Pacific Stevie® Awards, underscoring its commitment to financial inclusion and innovation in the Philippines.
The company received a Gold Stevie® for Innovative Management in Financial Industries, recognizing its KaNegosyo Center initiative, and two Silver Stevies® for Innovation in Cause-Related Videos and Thought Leader of the Year.
“These awards affirm our commitment to creating real change through innovation rooted in purpose,” said Jean Henri Lhuillier, president and chief executive officer of PJ Lhuillier Inc., in a statement. “Whether we are helping a small business owner start their journey or making financial education accessible through a smartphone screen, our mission remains empowering every Filipino to thrive.”
Lhuillier’s leadership has transformed Cebuana Lhuillier into the Philippines’ largest micro-financial services provider, serving over 27 million Filipinos. The company’s services include bridge financing, micro-savings, insurance and business support through the KaNegosyo Center.
The KaNegosyo Center, which earned the Gold Stevie®, offers entrepreneurs access to capital, training and compliance assistance. Since its launch in June 2023, it has empowered over one million entrepreneurs and generated more than 31 million views of its business coaching modules.
The Silver Stevie® for Innovation in Cause-Related Videos was awarded to Money Guro, a digital campaign hosted by Lhuillier that provides financial education through social media platforms. Since its inception in January 2024, Money Guro has attracted over 1.17 million followers and garnered more than 94 million views across Facebook and TikTok.
Cebuana Lhuillier’s hybrid “TechBrick” strategy combines a nationwide network of over 3,500 branches with digital platforms like the eCebuana app, ensuring accessible financial services for Filipinos nationwide.
“Creating lasting social impact requires continuous innovation and listening to the needs of Filipinos nationwide,” Lhuillier added. “Our vision is clear — to democratize access to financial services and business ownership so every Filipino, no matter their background, can participate in the country’s economic growth and build a better future.” / KOC
