“Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” — the sequel to Blumhouse’s 2023 box-office hit — is set to arrive in Philippine cinemas on Dec. 3, 2025. Returning cast members include Josh Hutcherson as former security guard Mike, Piper Rubio as his younger sister Abby and Elizabeth Lail as local police officer Vanessa. Horror icon Matthew Lillard also reprises his role as the sinister William Afton.

In 2023, “Five Nights at Freddy’s” became the highest-grossing horror film of the year, adapted from Scott Cawthon’s blockbuster game series. The sequel dives into a new wave of animatronic terror as the story picks up a year after the haunting at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.

The events of the first film have now morphed into a local legend, inspiring the town’s first-ever Fazfest. However, when Abby sneaks out to reconnect with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy, a chilling chain of events is set in motion, unraveling dark secrets about the true origin of Freddy’s and awakening a long-buried horror.

The film features returning actors Theodus Crane as Jeremiah and Matthew Lillard as William Afton. New additions to the cast include Freddy Carter (“Shadow and Bone”), Wayne Knight (“Jurassic Park,” “Seinfeld”), Mckenna Grace (“Ghostbusters,” “Annabelle Comes Home”), and horror veteran Skeet Ulrich (“Scream,” “Riverdale”).

“Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” is directed by Emma Tammi, who returns to the franchise, with a screenplay co-written by game creator Scott Cawthon. The film is produced by Blumhouse founder and chief executive officer Jason Blum alongside Cawthon, with executive producers Emma Tammi, Beatriz Sequeira, Christopher Warner, Russell Binder and Marc Mostman. / PR
