
A FORMER traffic enforcer was arrested during a drug bust launched by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 7 Regional Special Enforcement Team in Sitio Mahayahay 1, Barangay Calamba, Cebu City at 6:43 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
The operation was conducted in coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP) Drug Enforcement Group/Special Operations Unit (PDEG/SOU) 7 and the Cebu City Police Office.
Arrested was Adamson Daday Ramirez, 41, a resident of the area.
Seized from him were nine packs of shabu weighing 50 grams, with an estimated market value of P340,000, along with the buy-bust money.
PDEA 7 Information Officer Leia Alcantara said Ramirez had been under case buildup for two months after authorities received intelligence from a reliable source.
He was reportedly capable of selling 59 to 100 grams of shabu per week.
The seized evidence has been forwarded to the PDEA 7 Regional Office Laboratory for chemical analysis and proper disposition.
Ramirez is facing charges for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 and is currently in the custody of the PDEA 7 facility. (AYB)
