ALBERT Francisco stunned Angilou Dalogdog with a 10th-round stoppage in the main event of “Manny Pacquiao presents Blow by Blow” last Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Brgy. Namayan Covered Court in Mandaluyong City.
It was a very competitive fight between two promising fighters, who each had their moments, trading vicious shots.
In the seventh round, however, the 25-year-old Francisco finally found his mark and sent Dalogdog careening to the ropes with a solid left straight. Referee Jerrold Tomeldan ruled it a knockdown and issued Dalogdog a 10-count, which the latter beat.
In the 10th round, Francisco once again caught Dalogdog with a vicious left straight that sent him to the floor. Although Dalogdog beat the referee’s count, Francisco followed up with a barrage of unanswered shots that forced Tomeldan to wave off the contest at the 2:32 mark.
With the win, Francisco claimed the vacant Philippine Games and Amusements Board flyweight title and improved to 14-1 with 10 knockouts. The 28-year-old Dalogdog suffered his first career defeat and fell to 10-1 with four knockouts. / EKA
