FOLLOWING the success of Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill in Manila, the renowned chef is set to launch two more restaurant concepts in the Philippines, this time in Mactan Newtown in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips and Street Burger by Gordon Ramsay will open their first Philippine locations side-by-side by mid-year.

This announcement follows Gordon Ramsay's recent inaugural visit to Manila, signaling his continued expansion in the Asian culinary scene. The two new dining establishments will offer casual yet high-quality menus, reflecting Ramsay's signature style, in a prime beachfront destination in Cebu.

Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips will feature a fast-casual, over-the-counter experience, serving its popular take on the British classic alongside items like Lobster & Shrimp, Dirty Chips and handcrafted milkshakes. Adjacent to it, Street Burger by Gordon Ramsay will offer a bold twist on the classic American diner, with signature burgers such as the Idiot Burger, G.F.C. (Gordon’s Fried Chicken) Burger and the O.G.R. Burger.

In a statement sent, Travellers International Hotel Group Inc. (TIHGI) executive chairman Kevin L. Tan highlighted Cebu's dynamic tourism sector and Mactan Newtown's strategic location near the airport as ideal for these new ventures.

“The Mactan Newtown is also a vibrant commercial and leisure hub. With the entry of Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips and Street Burger by Gordon Ramsay, we will introduce dynamic dining concepts that will further enhance the township’s appeal, not just for visitors, but also for the growing community who live and work there.”

Mactan Newtown, a 30-hectare beachfront township by Megaworld, is a mixed-use development featuring hotels, residential and office towers, and upcoming facilities like the Mactan Expo and the Mactan World Museum. The addition of these Gordon Ramsay restaurants is expected to further solidify its position as a key tourism and lifestyle destination in Cebu. (KOC)
