CEBU Governor Pamela Baricuatro made three appeals to Capitol employees during the 456th founding anniversary celebration of the Province of Cebu on August 6, 2025.
During her meeting with the employees, Baricuatro expressed gratitude to all former governors and vice governors who served at the Capitol over the years.
“We should always remember those governors and vice governors that helped shape the Province of Cebu in the past. Let's give them, all of them, whether they are on the wall or still alive, they deserve our congratulations,” Baricuatro said on August 6, 2025.
She then shared her requests for a smoother workflow within the Capitol.
The first is unity. Second, peace. And third, rendering service to Cebuanos with joy.
“Pirmiro magkahiusa tang tanan, past is past...but whether you voted or not, pareha na ta karon. We are one and the same...Let's work as a team," Baricuatro said.

During the same event, Vice Governor Glenn Anthony Soco also emphasized the importance of strong collaboration, cooperation, and camaraderie to achieve quality public service for Cebu.
“The message of this for me on this 456th year is about collaboration, about working together for the common good, working together to provide the services nga gikinahanglan sa atong mga kaigsuonan,” Soco said.
In line with the celebration, all Capitol employees will receive 25 kilos of rice, bonuses, and raffle prizes, among others.
The Capitol's celebration will span the entire month of August with various activities, including the first Caravan of Services to be held Thursday, August 7, 2025, in the towns of Pilar and Poro in Camotes Island.
Major surgeries will also be conducted on the succeeding schedules. (ANV)
