THE Sandiganbayan Third Division dismissed the graft case against former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista.
The case was filed under the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act in connection with the P25.34 million solar power project at Quezon City Hall in 2019.
However, Bautista’s lawyer argued that the actor-politician was no longer in office when the amount in question was released.
His former city administrator was found guilty and sentenced to up to eight years in prison. / TRC
