A DAY after the 2025 Sinulog Grand Parade and Ritual Showdown, winners showcased their award-winning performances once again.
Forty-four contingents from Cebu City, Cebu Province and out-of-town competed in the Sinulog-based and Free Interpretation categories.
Carcar City emerged as the big winner in the Sinulog-based category, taking home P3 million in prizes, in addition to a P1.5 million subsidy from the Cebu City Government for all out-of-town contingents. Bais City claimed victory in the Free Interpretation category.
In the Sinulog-based category, the top winners were:
2nd place: Mandaue City
3rd place: Talisay City
4th place: Danao City
5th place: Barangay Inayawan
For the Free Interpretation category, the winners were:
2nd place: Toledo City
3rd place: Lapu-Lapu City
4th place: Lumad Basakanon
5th place: Consolacion
Approximately four million spectators celebrated the return of the grand parade and the ritual showdown to their pre-pandemic route and venue, respectively. (SunStar Cebu)
