SANTO Niño de Cebu devotees flocked to stores in downtown Cebu City on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, to have their images repaired by sculptors or have old dresses replaced or sewn, ahead of the 461st Fiesta Señor.
More often than not, owners of Santo Niño images choose not to buy new ones due to deep-seated cultural, spiritual and historical factors that prioritize a lifelong connection with a single image.
The fiesta, which falls on Sunday, Jan. 18, carries the theme, “In Santo Niño We Are One.”
