PINOY warriors John Kevien Jimenez, Michael Casama and Jay Francis Buray were defeated in their respective Philippines vs. Japan fights last Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Jimenez lost to Ryusei Matsumoto via fourth-round knockout in the main event.

Jimenez fought well in the opening round, landing some sharp counterpunches.

Matsumoto started targeting Jimenez’s body in the second round and sneaked in a couple of good shots.

Momentum swung in Jimenez’s favor in the third as he connected with a solid overhand right to the head and a hook to the body.

Jimenez carried that energy into the fourth round, landing a clean right straight to the head of Matsumoto.

However, Matsumoto sneaked in a right hook to the body that dropped Jimenez to his knee.

Jimenez stood up and aggressively attacked Matsumoto, but Matsumoto landed a solid left straight to the midsection that knocked Jimenez down again. This time, Jimenez was unable to beat referee Takeru Okaniwa’s 10-count and the fight was waved off at the 1:44 mark of the round.

Jimenez fell to 9-3 with four knockouts, while Matsumoto remained undefeated at 6-0 with four knockouts.

Meanwhile, Casama (10-4-1, 10 KOs) lost to Yuichiro Taka (5-0, 1 KO) via fifth-round technical knockout, and Buray (13-4-1, 3 KOs) was stopped by Kota Kaneko (8-1, 7 KOs) in the second round. / EKA
