ONLINE job platform Jobstreet by Seek has partnered with the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC) Jobs Cluster to expand career readiness initiatives and widen access to employment opportunities across the country.
In a statement, the strategic collaboration aims to address persistent job market challenges by digitizing job fairs, launching nationwide career readiness programs and enhancing public-private coordination to connect more Filipinos, especially students and entry-level job seekers, with career opportunities.
“These partnerships reflect our shared vision of opening more doors for Filipino job seekers from all walks of life,” said Jobstreet by Seek Philippines managing director Dannah Majarocon. “We’re excited to help organize more career conventions, expand career education and make job opportunities more accessible.”
The deal with DepEd will scale up Jobstreet by Seek’s Career Readiness Caravan, a program that brings workshops, practical job-seeking tips and labor market insights directly to Senior High School and Alternative Learning System (ALS) learners. The initiative is designed to build students’ confidence and guide them in navigating future career paths. It also supports DepEd’s broader Youth Formation Initiatives that promote values, skills and life preparedness.
Meanwhile, the tie-up with PSAC, an advisory group that links private sector leaders with the government, will leverage Jobstreet by Seek’s digital job-matching platform to streamline job fairs and conventions. The initiative will improve the marketing of these events and better connect employers with qualified talent.
In addition, Jobstreet by Seek is in talks with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority to potentially co-develop training modules and integrate labor market data into its platform. The partnership may also involve support for upcoming events such as the Philippine National Skills Competition 2025 and WorldSkills Asean Manila 2025.
Earlier this year, Jobstreet by Seek entered into separate agreements with the Department of Labor and Employment and the Philippine Retailers Association to support retail workforce development and on-ground job fairs through the Public Employment Service Office.
With multiple partnerships now underway, Jobstreet by Seek is strengthening its role as a bridge between education, private enterprise and government, offering tech-enabled solutions to improve the employability and job prospects of Filipinos nationwide. / KOC
