At its core is the Red Readerhood program, a corporate social responsibility initiative that aims to empower underprivileged youth by donating books to deserving communities and schools. This year, Gawad Kalinga and The Sister School of Mary-Boystown in Minglanilla, Cebu, are the beneficiaries of this program. The Booksale will pledge 1,000 books to the GK Traveling Maleta Library, providing literary works and promoting reading in less fortunate communities. Guests and customers also have an opportunity to contribute to the cause by donating their used books (preferably children’s books) at designated donation sections.
