ON JULY 25, 2023, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino celebrated its 25th Anniversary with the theme: “Silver Splendor.” Guests arrived in gorgeous dresses and dashing suits, anticipating a night to remember. Elegant elements made the halls leading to the Pacific Grand Ballroom camera-worthy and the hotel’s grand lobby welcomed guests with a seven-foot centerpiece revealing the 25th anniversary’s logo at the front and photos showcasing memorable moments over the past quarter of a century at the back; a violinist whose dress trailed down the hotel’s iconic staircase; a 3D video wall featuring the hotel’s interior; and a group of violinists to serenade guests as they walk down the red carpet.
The momentous occasion was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, namely president Kenneth T. Gatchalian with his lovely wife Mrs. Mary Jeanette K. The dinner, curated by the property’s culinary masterminds, Chef Tristan Encarnacion, Chef Syl Francis Malenab, Chef Erwin Manes, Chef Low Yuen Kong, and Chef Nobuyuki Imamura, took center stage with an array of culinary creations from their award-winning restaurants: Best of Cebu Grand Slam Winner for Best Dim Sum, Tin Gow; authentic Japanese favorites from Mizu; pasta cooked in a Parmesan wheel from La Gondola; a wide array of dishes prepared by the experts from Banquets; and last but certainly not the least, delicious desserts to end the meal from the Pastry team.
As the property celebrated 25 years of commitment to service, the night would not have been complete without recognizing Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino’s 25-year service awardees whose hard work and loyalty have greatly contributed to the hotel’s unwavering success.
