CLEAR up your summer plans for the weekend because Otakufest is back! The most anticipated hobby convention in Visayas is making an early return this year and it has only gotten bigger and better. Hear the cheers of the crowd at SM Seaside City Cebu from June 24 to 25, 2023.

Dedicated con goers can look forward to the comeback of signature segments such as the Cosplay Competition, Asian Pop Dance Competition, Japanese Singing Competition, and many more hits from last year’s Otakufest.

Long-time fans may also recognize the return of old events such as the One-Shot Comic Competition and the Ramen Eating Competition. And there’s still plenty more! There are also new segments to the Otakufest event lineup this year, such as the Pet Cosplay Competition, Dried Mango Eating Competition, and Chibi Cosplay Competition.

If you’re a huge cosplay enthusiast, Otakufest 2023 has also been chosen to host GICOF Philippines. The winners of the Cosplay Duo Competition will receive the exciting opportunity to compete as official representatives of the Philippines and cosplay at the international competition.

GICOF will be held this September 2023 in Seoul, South Korea, and representatives will receive roundtrip flights and accommodations, on top of the chance to win the GICOF 2023 World Champion title!

And don’t forget to drop by and see the wonderful guest lineup of cosplayers, streamers, and VTubers at Otakufest 2023. First time Otakufest guests By0ru, Ashen Kei, and Lia Bear have come all the way to the Philippines to meet their Filipino fans.

Otakufest is also welcoming back beloved cosplayers Diane Sabandeja, Seanpai Sen, Yukari Ni-Na, and Sergio Sta. Ana as guests this year. VTubers Kaheru and Kamiya Juu are ready to star onstage for their first appearance at Otakufest 2023. Along with Meet & Greets, fans of these guests can expect merchandise to be sold onsite.

Are your wallets ready for our merchants? Local artists and hobby stores will be hosting booths at Otakufest 2023. Gather your friends to complete the Artist Alley Stamp Rally and win prizes from beloved artists, or stock up on merchandise from Merch Booths and Exhibitor Booths. Whether you’re an anime fan, a KPoppie, a collector, there is something for everyone here if you’re ready to splurge.
