IN just two days, the whole world welcomes another new year. Another round of celebrations usually marks this most-loved occasion, a continuation of sorts of the family bonding from the Christmas gatherings just a few days ago. Of course, the new year tradition would not be complete without making resolutions, some of which may be realized while some are bound to be forgotten in the middle of the year. For this issue, Zup asks a more thought-provoking question: What is your ultimate goal for 2019?
My goal for 2019 is to establish myself online, doing creative stuff. I would also want to find a niche product so that I can start building my own side business and probably find a good firm where I can have my internship. All in all, I will be hustling and grinding this year.--Lour Andre Nicole Gallardo, 22, architecture graduate
The year 2018 was spent improving myself. For 2019, my main goal is to focus more on things that matter—my family, career and God.--Mikaela Jasmelle Abellana, 22, management trainee
My greatest goal for 2019 is to further hone my knowledge in my future career. I’d like to learn more about the fundamentals of being an architect and applying all that I learned in my college days into practice, hoping it will be useful enough for me to pass the board examinations.--Marc Wilter Saladaga, 21, architecture graduate
My goal is to be able to hurdle the academic challenges in school, especially since I’m still in my freshman year. I would like to focus on my studies more and minimize going out for leisure. I also commit to going to mass as this would give me a sense of peace as I offer my problems to the Lord.--Daniel Pantanosas, 19, architecture student (USC)
