Dover Business Services (DBS), under the Dover Corp., held its fourth hiring blitz at the Holiday Inn Cebu from July 20 to 21, 2023, with the first day attracting 105 scheduled applicants.
The two-day hiring blitz — held 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. — opened its doors for job seekers interested in human resources, accounting, management, admin, analytics and finance roles. Open positions included roles under the corporation’s accounts receivables, accounts payable, financial and internal controls, project management and process improvement, among others.
This successful hiring blitz is DBS’ first full face-to-face recruitment event since the pandemic. As DBS transitions and acquires new operating companies, experienced applicants are a must for DBS to continue to deliver its excellent financial transactional services.
DBS is a business-to-business service provider that serves a diverse, niche market of manufacturing companies worldwide, and provides its employees a collaborative and flexible work environment, above-the-market compensation and benefits packages, global exposure and mobility, employee engagement activities and learning, development and networking opportunities.
DBS Transformation Hub senior manager Raul Raymond Kapuno highlighted experience as the top requirement for this batch of applicants, citing the need for the company to fit new hires into their existing processes quickly. “When we transition activities, we hire people who can already do the job. Experience is critical so that they will not be overwhelmed by the setup,” he said.
DBS recently celebrated its sixth year in business, having started its operations in 2017. According to DBS Cebu site director Aimee Tejano, the company grew its human resource from a team of 128 individuals to about 600 employees.
DBS proved to be a testament to the company’s reputation as an excellent provider of professional development opportunities when it wasn’t affected by the labor challenges brought about by the pandemic. It proves that it is the home of the best and innovative talents.
With Cebu as Dover’s central hub, Kapuno says they expect to fill at least half of their openings through this event and the company would be hiring on the spot for some of those open roles.
