Since my family is one that frequently goes to the gym, a little of our social media posts we see are often gym related. One post that my son has brought up to me is about how one is starting their "Villain Arc," which was alarming at first. After an explanation from my son, I can't help but pity those who have been hurt to the point of desiring revenge. With the unknown stories those who may hurt us have, perhaps revenge in the traditional sense is not the answer one seeks.
I believe the best revenge one enacts on those who have harmed oneself is not by hurting them back, but by never ever becoming them. By desiring to harm because of being harmed oneself puts one in a cycle of hatred that controls one's life. As dictated by our Heaven Luck, a factor of Human Success, everyone is born with innate traits and characteristics that can bloom into beautiful spectacles if given the freedom to. By constricting oneself to this destructive cycle, one stunts one's own growth.
Though the impacts are clear, it is still a tough job to do. To not care and to be selfish is so much easier to do. Despite the difficulty, we must still practice Man Luck, which is another factor of Human Success that refers to our hard work. However, Man Luck is more than doing the work, it is also researching, figuring out what to do and preparing oneself to do it. With our own hands, a lot can be done, but sometimes, it isn't enough.
The last, but not the least, factor to consider is one's Earth Luck, which essentially talks of one's environment. Something that I always say to my kids is that "You can not heal when you get sick," so it is important to have a change of environment when one wants change or to grow from pain. Negative energy coming from a home, office space, or even a friend group can cause hindrance in one's growth and can make it difficult to overcome the hatred. However difficult it may be, with the right mindset, environment, people and action, anyone can grow.
Something that my son also told me which is the antithesis to the "Villain Arc." He himself doesn't know what it is called, but it focuses on becoming better and stronger not to use for one's revenge, but to be strong enough to help those who can't help themselves. Though the scar left by those who hurt us may never leave, one can take pride that they will never inflict the same scar on anyone else because the truly strong people are kind.
