As photography embraces a nostalgic, analog-inspired comeback, Fujifilm remains the ultimate go-to for anyone wanting to up their vintage photography game. This time, Fujifilm brought the vintage vibes to life through FUJIKINA Cebu— a content creation tour that spotlighted the beauty of the Queen City of the South through the eyes (and lenses) of creative digital storytellers.

Life in focus

Fujifilm’s compact, stylish cameras, especially the now-iconic X100VI and the newly released X-M5, have found their way to the top of every Gen Z wishlist. With their signature film simulations, analog design, and TikTok-viral appeal, these cameras are more than just tools— they’re personal companions for documenting life as it happens, grain and all.

As the love for nostalgic visuals continues to grow, Fujifilm now introduces its most exciting release yet: the X half. A digital half-frame camera inspired by vintage film models, the X half brings a new perspective to everyday storytelling—one that’s compact, creative, and effortlessly cool.

The X half isn’t just for photographers; it’s for everyone who wants to document life as they live it— from young creatives finding their voice through visuals, to film lovers who miss the unmatched charm of winding levers and waiting for prints. More than a camera, it’s a piece that brings us back to a time when vibes mattered more than curation–– a true memory keepsake.

Cebu, framed through Fujifilm

To celebrate the launch, Fujifilm hosted FUJIKINA Cebu, following its inaugural run in Manila back in 2024. Bringing together visual storytellers and digital creators, an immersive tour around Cebu City and Mactan Island served as the perfect setting. From capturing the buzz of Cebu’s top tourist spots to soaking in island life through photo challenges, food crawls, and boat rides, the adventure was all about chasing the vibe— and proving just how versatile Fujifilm’s gear can be.

Each moment became an opportunity to see the world through a different lens. Creators explored vertical storytelling with the X half’s signature format, tested Fujifilm’s film simulations, and snapped away using its new 2-in-1 mode,  combining photo + video, two moments in one frame, for a whole new way to frame memories.

Modern moments, vintage vibes

At FUJIKINA Cebu, Fujifilm proved that in a world of endless content, it’s the authentic stories that truly stand out. With the launch of the X half, Fujifilm invites a new wave of storytellers to shoot differently, see more creatively, and celebrate the everyday in a way that’s beautifully imperfect.

In true Fujifilm fashion, the experience wasn’t just about the gear, it was about the community it builds. Whether it was a golden hour snap from a Mactan boat ride, a candid street portrait in the heart of Cebu City, or a composed 2-in-1 photo, each frame captured at FUJIKINA Cebu was a reminder that good stories don’t need filters— they just need feeling.
