Getting that grilled goodness

Getting that grilled goodness

When you think of good food in a good place, it’s almost always tied to higher prices. In the more affluent areas in the city, one could hop from one high-end restaurant to another, all huddled inside malls and urban lifestyle areas.

That is why discovering a place that offers a refreshing space with food choices that do not rip your wallet into pieces could feel like a “eureka” moment.

Vintage black and white tiles add character to Ribhouse Barbecue, coupled with warm mood lighting and an interior design that integrates greenery with the teal couches.

The newly opened restaurant in Gaisano Country Mall is sure of one thing: they do not want to be a place that chooses its patrons. They want to offer the comfort of everything grilled, and since food is supposed to be enjoyed by our mouths and taste buds, dress codes are immaterial.

“You can come in your tsinelas and house clothes to get a good meal fix where you can eat with your hands judge-free,” Cheryl Page-Alba, owner of the restaurant said.

Chef Marco Binuya, the restaurant’s executive chef, personally curated the menu.

Chef Marco said that when they were coming up with the prices of the menu items, he made sure that it would be made affordable and that they would source their ingredients from local producers.

Ribhouse offers grilled pork belly, back ribs, chorizo and chicken barbecue. All these paired with an unlimited rice combo to fill you with grilled goodness.

For students and workers in the area, enjoying a hearty meal of grilled and savory goodness inside a restaurant with a good interior is no longer a challenge.

The restaurant is also set to launch an addition to their menu: Pork Steak with Herb Butter, Chicken Teriyaki, Cheese Krainer and Hawaiian Short Plate; all of which were personally vetted and created by Chef Marco.

The more options we have, the better we can choose and some places just make the choice easier to make.

Ribhouse Barbecue is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
