AROUND 5,000 runners are expected to participate in the 3rd edition of the Lite Ferries Anniversary Run on July 27, 2025, at Pescadores Road, Cebu Business Park, Cebu City.
During a press conference held on Wednesday, June 25, at the Lite Port Center, Barangay Tejero, organizers announced that the fun run is part of Lite Ferries’ 34th anniversary celebration and is anticipated to draw a larger turnout than the previous two editions.
Runners from various regions and nearby islands are also expected to join the competition, which features five categories: 24K, 16K, 10K, 5K, and 3K. Participants can also enjoy a 50 percent discount on Lite Ferries fares by presenting their official claim stub.
Registration, which began on April 28, will close on July 7. Registration fees are pegged at P1,350 for the 24-kilometer run, P1,250 for the 16K, P1,000 for 10K, P799 for 5K, and P650 for the 3K.
Aside from cash prizes for the winners, runners will also have a chance to win one of two brand-new Honda Giorno motorcycles in a raffle during the awarding ceremony.
Dubbed “Run and Jam,” the event will also feature live performances from throughout the race, from start to the finish, according to Geraldine Cosmod, AVP for Finance at Lite Shipping Corporation.
Bryan Ernest Quisumbing, Lite Shipping’s passage and area manager, said the success of the previous two editions inspired them to organize another fun run in celebration of their anniversary.
Also present at the press conference were Ruby Ann Bernasor, head of the Audit Department; Irving Jay Ang, Ads and Promotions manager; Roger Bernasor, senior accountant; and race director Joel Juarez of Coco Running.
