A 16-year-old boy was shot by one of the motorcycle-riding assailants in Purok Isiong, Lower Casili, Mandaue City past 2 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2023.
According to Police Major Manuel Cabanlit of Barangay Canduman Police Station 6, the victim, whose name is withheld for being a minor, was talking to a friend beside the road when the two motorcycles stopped in front of them and one of the backriders got off the bike and shot him.
Fortunately, the gunman did not finish him off.
The shooter punched the victim after he fell before fleeing farther north.
The Mandaue police are now pursuing the perpetrators, whom they refused to identify pending an ongoing investigation. (DVG, TPT)
